What's the story behind a time when you got locked out?

In sophomore year of high school, I forgot my house keys in the house. After school when I got to the front door, I obviously freaked out. I mean my mom was off at work, and wouldn't be home til five. And at that point it was only two, and there was no way I was going to sit out there and wait! So I racked my brain, and finally remembered that the neighbor is home and that they have a key. After going over to the neighbors, waiting for her to figure out where she put it, and finally getting back to my front door, it was already two thirty. Here's the ironic part, I opened the door, and saw... my brother! Sprawled out on the couch like the lazy bum that he is. I completely forgot that he was home sick! All that time wasted going to the neighbors, when I could have just rang the doorbell! I felt pretty stupid after that.
