I have been meaning to update for a couple of days now, but every time I sit down my mind blanks. Even right now I feel as if I have nothing to say, and yet when I'm not around the computer all I think about is different things I could talk about. I'm only updating right now because I'm stuck at school (with plenty to do) and bored.
The last week or so has been filled with writing essays and preparing presentations. School is literally taking over my life. There is an essay due tomorrow for english that I am writing on William Dean Howells' short story "Editha". But have I written it yet...? Uh, no? I just got done doing all of the research for it, now all I have to do is organize my points, and of course, write it.
Okay, somehow I just totally deleted this huge paragraph I just wrote. Grrr. Not writing it again. I have to go now anyway, my next class starts in ten minutes!
What's the best thing you ever bought off of Ebay or Craigslist?
textbooks! woooop.
Never thought I would say this, but I just got done filling out my voter's registration form... and I listed myself as republican. I'm a die hard liberal, and naturally thought that when I registered to vote, I would register as a democrat. But, I believe in and strongly support the Ron Paul Revolution, and you have to be a registered republican to vote for him in the California primaries (which will take place in February 2008). So, there ya go.
I also saw an article on the comcast.net homepage that was talking about universal healthcare. To that, I say, "GO SEE THE DOCUMENTARY SICKO." It has the ability to convince the lucky people who have healthcare (me!) and the ones who are not so lucky, that universal healthcare in America is a MUST. If Cuba provides better healthcare then us, then you knowwww something is wrong with our healthcare system.
I'm thinking that if by the time I graduate from college we still don't have universal healthcare, that I will probably move to France. Could you imagine the government sending someone to your house to do your laundry for you!? IN FRANCE, ALONG WITH UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, THEY DO THAT! And, they have police doctors, meaning that if you have the flu, you call one and they come to your house within twenty to thirty minutes to take care of you. GAH.

I wish I could have been there!
Last Wednesday marked the first day back at school for me. School is alright. I'm going to be doing a lot of reading and writing this semester! My classes are:
-environmental biology
-argumentation and critical thinking
-health in today's society
-american literature after 1865
-introduction to mass media
My goal for this semester is no C's! After surviving [almost] a week, I feel that this is an achievable goal.
I am soo tired today. I stayed up late last night and watched the VMA's - a horrible guilty pleasure of mine. Of course, I left some homework to the last minute (already!), and stayed up until just past midnight. Put Hamlet into the picture, and one can safely approximate that I stayed up until at least one o' clock.
This morning I woke up to a whining dog, after only a measly six hours of sleep. I have been on the go all day, and am 100 percent ready to plop into bed.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to feed my desire for at least another couple of hours. Reading for english must be accomplished (plus notes that I can use for discussion tomorrow), reading (or skimming?) must be done for mass media, and I have to wait for Hamlet to wake up (he is currently napping) so that he can do his business, and then so we can play until he drops dead. I'm going to estimate that I won't be in bed until eleven... ulgh.
Sooo, what am I waiting for? I should probably get started with the reading....
What shows are you looking forward to in the new fall TV season?
none... I'm boring. =/
Went to go see the movie "Hairspray" today. It is very entertaining, and I really enjoyed it. Who wouldn't like to see John Travolta dressed up as a woman??
My neighbor got us the movie "Bourne Ultimatum" pirated, so we watched that when I got home from the movies. I would like to say it was good, except for I kept on spacing out, and was completely unable to focus because I am so tired! Mom had to frequently pause the movie to tell me what I missed.
So pretty much, I need to sleep. I'm letting Hamlet play for awhile so he'll [hopefully] sleep most of the night. He is currently on my lap, attacking a napkin that he found somewhere. Actually, now that I think of it, where did he find the napkin? We're neat freaks, there is no way he just found it on the floor... ew. This must mean I have a used napkin on my lap, probably found from in the garbage can. Excuse me for a moment while I dispose of it.
Okay, I'm back. Hamlet didn't have any accidents today! Woop! Now he is attacking my hair. Ohh, goodness.
Well, I think I shall retire to bed now. Will post if I have anything exciting to say.
