very tired and very unemployed.

i so quit my job today. just got up and walked out.

to keep the long story short, my boss was yelling at me over the phone for no reason (and even if there were a reason, you still don't yell at your employees like that!) and i decided i was fed up with her shit. i'd rather be broke and starving then work for her.

i was so angry i'm surprised i didn't kill myself trying to drive home in the always hectic Modesto traffic.

tomorrow is the honda civic tour concord. exciteddd. i hope i get to talk to william again. hah.

monday i will look for a new job. i don't care where, as long as i get one.

i just got back from my papa's house. today is aaron's birthday and they held a <del>little</del> huge party for him. there was about thirty people there! OHOHOH. and aaron got the wii for his birthday, AND IT IS SO COOL! we went bowling on the wii and played my favorite from nintendo 64- mario party. i so want one now. sucks that i so can't spend money now. haha. that just means i'll be spending a lot of extra time in aaron's living room! =D

alright, well i'm out. must get to sleep at a decent hour tonight. over the past three days i've gotten a total of maybe twelve hours of sleep. not good at all. i need sleep because i'm driving to concord and back home, and nobody wants a sleepy driver at the wheel.

i really haven't felt much like updating lately. been visiting family since tuesday and it has been a lot of fun. last night my cousins surprised me with tickets to the honda civic tour. we met william beckett from the academy is... ! i only know who he is because of julia, but it was still pretty exciting to meet him =D.

arizona is so hot that i have to drink 2x the water i normally do to stay hydrated. ulghh, i hate the hot weather. need to move to alaska. or something.

so i go home on tuesday. i'm having a lot of fun here but i will admit it will be nice to sleep in my own bed. and i miss my mommy... i'm so pathetic. i haven't seen her for almost five days and i'm like all homesickk. haha.

thursday julia took me to mill avenue and i dropped like a hundred dollars in about an hour. i'm pretty much broke now, and really regretting splurging like that. it was like i couldn't stop myself, i was having so much fun! hah. oh well. i got two shirts from american apparel, some flats from urban outfitters (or something?), and a book from borders. couldn't resist going in there. my weakness is buying more books then i can read. i also bought harry potter chocolate frogs, which actually had wizard cards in them! i got the potter family and mr. ollivander. i feel like such a geek, but that's what makes me who i am... which is someone who gets excited over lame wizard cards. hahaha.

what else have we done?

we saw the pirates 3 movie. i thought it was a LOT better then the second movie, but not nearly as good as the first.

we have also gone to all of my families favorite places to eat in phoenix. this includes a mexican and chinese restauraunt in one. it was definitely weird, but the food was good. we went to oregano's, which is italian, and tonight we went to z'apacee -- not sure what it's called exactly. it's pretty much american food, and is surprisingly good.

other then all of that, i suppose we really haven't done much. we might go to either a water park or the science museum on monday. still deciding though. also, julia might come back with me to california. still iffy on that too.

tomorrow we are waking up early so we can ride with my aunt to work, so we can drive the car back and actually go places.

so yeah. think i will sleep now. so homesickkkkkkk (never thought i would miss hick-town modesto).

I just bought tickets to go to Arizona! I'm leaving the 19th and coming back the 26th.

I'm pretty excited, I've never bought airplane tickets before.

My boss just called and I told her I wouldn't be able to come in those days and she sounded really irritated. The reason why I'm taking the trip when I am is because she will be in the office doing Driver's Ed during that time, so it won't be that big of a deal that I won't be there. Apparently, it is. She was probably hoping that I would teach Driver's Ed for her or something.

She also said, "So you're taking a trip for a week this month, and you'll be gone the last week of July and the first two weeks of August...?" She said it in a "oh, my god" sort of tone. Oh, well. I can take a vacation if I want to, right? I don't need my crappy boss' approval first, right? Right. I understand that yes, I am taking quite a lot of vacations this summer, but she's known about Florida since the beginning of April!

I'm almost kind of hoping that she will fire me. She would never do that (I don't think?) because of my mom. But, still. If she were to let me go I would be more apt to go out and find a better job. I love my job right now, I just don't love the management.

Anyway, count-down time!

11 days until I leave for Arizona.

22 days until the Fall Out Boy Concert.

32 days until Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie comes out!!

42 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND

51 DAYS UNTIL I SET SAIL ON THE CRUISE!!

And then all the excitement will be over... how sad. I'm having a pretty eventful and Harry Potter filled summer though.

So here's a pretty funny story: The other day at work, I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business and returning a customer's call. Just as their voicemail picked up, I felt something on my right arm. I figured it was just my hair, as it is getting very long, and I've been shedding a lot. So I glance over, looking for the strand of hair that was causing me discomfort, only to find a gigantic, black SPIDER crawling on my arm! I screamed, dropped the phone, batted my left hand at the spider until it fell, and ran from the room. I successfully managed to cause the battery on the phone to fall out, papers from the desk were flown into the air and landed in a mess, and my chair was dumped on its side. You're probably thinking that I'm exaggerating and that it was really a very small spider. I KID YOU NOT. This sucker was roughly the size of the circumfrence of the bottom of a bottle. It was black, with gray and white spots. And it was crawling on me. Needless to say, I couldn't focus on my work entirely after that. My eyes were constantly scanning the desk and the floor for more spiders. Unfortunately, when I hit the spider off my arm, it didn't die. Or at least I didn't find it dead anywhere.

I'm fine with spiders, as long as they're not ON me.

Also another story about work. This one is strange. On Monday, at about 4:30, I was sitting at my desk once again, starting to feel a bit cold. I decided that the obvious solution to my problem would be to turn off the air conditioner. So I trekked through the office and the classroom, to the AC controls. The AC is right next to the door, which is made of glass. So as I was turning the AC off, I got a nice view of the street below my building, and I happened to see a truck slam into a BUS. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise. I ran out the door and looked below me. The lady from the office next to me heard it, and came out to see what was going on. After the time it took to tell her what I saw, the truck had actually driven away. Driven away, that is, without even talking to the bus driver or exchanging any information.

Now I wish I had thought to break out my cell phone and take a picture of the accident. I might have gotten his license plate number.

Yesterday I started what will be two full weeks of eating ZERO carbohydrates. It's apart of my 10% plan. My goal is to lose ten percent of my body weight before we leave for Florida at the end of July. If I lose two pounds every week until then, I will for sure meet my goal. The first two weeks will kick off my diet with a nice head start (I should lose about 10 pounds of water weight), and then after that I will eat whatever I want (of course I will still try to eat healthy foods, but if I want ice cream I won't stop myself) but count calories. To lose two pounds a week (which is considered healthy) I have to eat 1200 calories a day.

I'm also going to exercise. The more exercise I do, the more calories I will allow myself to eat. I found a really nifty tool that tells me how many calories I can eat considering how much exercise I've done.

My plan is to go swimming at the YMCA with my aunt at least once a week, go for a thirty minute walk at least once a week, ride my new stationary bike once a day for thirty minutes, and do some strengthening exercises every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

If I lose ten pounds in the next two weeks, and then lose two pounds every week after that, I will have lost at least twenty pounds by the time we leave for Florida. That definitely exceeds my ten percent plan, so I'm happy about that. For sure I will be able to meet my goal, even if I do sway off my diet for a day or two.

According to sparkpeople.com, I should be able to reach my goal of 130 pounds by October 17th. That is considered healthy for my height. 120 pounds would be my ideal weight, though. I am so determined to actually follow through with this diet. I need to get healthy. I don't want to always have to worry about how clothes fit me, and in the future I don't want to have to worry about the possibility of diabetes and other health problems.

This past week I have been really active. I went swimming twice (a half of a mile each time!), rode the stationary bike once, and played volleyball and basketball. That probably doesn't seem like a lot, but for me it really is. I read an article that said if you want to commit to exercising, you need to start with baby steps. Don't exercise every day and completley exhaust yourself. So, that is clearly what I am doing.

Besides all the "diet" stuff, not much has been going on. I've been glued to my seat in front of the computer every waking moment not spent doing something productive- which, by the way, has been quite a lot.

I've been reading up on Runes, which is a subject inspired by the Harry Potter books... of course. I've also been trying to read a book my Papa gave me, but I haven't been able to get past the first page.
