Chico
Chico was disappointing. I've never been there before, but I've heard so many stories about the university and how it's a party college and stuff like that. So I assumed that it would be a big, beautiful city with lots of exciting things to see.
But remember, when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. I'm lame.
Pretty much Chico is like hick town USA. Worse then Modesto, and that is saying something.
Other then the fact that Chico wasn't what I expected, I had a really good time. Kristina and I got to the movie theater at 9pm to pick up the Harry Potter tickets we bought online. We had intended on picking them up and then doing some grocery shopping, but after seeing the monstrous line that was quickly creeping out of the entrance and around the building, we decided to stay instead. Good thing we did too, because Kristina saw a friend from work that was literally in the front of the line. We ended up being the first people in our theater, which for geeky me was very exciting.
The movie was reallllllyyyy good. They did well portraying a lot of the scenes the way I saw them in my head. The first half was the best, and the second half seemed a little rushed to me. They also cut a LOT out. I believe this is the shortest movie yet, so they could have added at least ten to fifteen minutes on to clarify a few things and to make some scenes better. For example, the fighting scene at the ministry. They cut so much out of that, it's not even funny. I thought they were rushing some earlier scenes to make room for the long fighting scene, so I was really surprised that it was so short and so skeleton like. They just put the important things in and left the meat in the backyard. And the way Sirius died was weird. I felt zero emotion at that part, but I expected to be bawling going in to the movie.
But overall, I liked it. I still feel that the third movie is the best though.
I got home from Chico today at like 10:30pm. Very boring and monotonous drive. I listened to Green Day's greatest hits album all the way through and Daughtry's whole album all the way through before I even got half way home. The distance isn't a lot, but most of the way there is only one lane, and people tend to drive insanely slow.
My glasses came in today! I'm going to pick them up tomorrow. I haven't gotten new glasses in like four years!
